In his invitation,
Jesus said:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest."

(Matthew 11:28)

a seeker's guide

My Dear Friend...

I do not know what is going on in your life right now, but I am hopeful that whatever it may be, this website will guide you through the truth of Scriptures and find the answers to questions lingering in your heart and thoughts.

May the Spirit fill your heart with understanding to receive the peace that Jesus promised when he said:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your heart be troubled
and do not be afraid."
(1 John 4:27)

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, their sin corrupted the world. All humanity got into every kind of trouble ever since. This is the plan of Satan from the very beginning: he wanted to rule the world through the power of sin.

Although we bore the likeness and image of Adam, we did not inherit his sin. However, we inherited his sinful nature; to the extent that by the time we reached the age of accountability through our knowledge of good and evil, the power of sin aroused our sinful passions, and we sinned. As a result, we were separated from God.

But God foreknew the evil scheme of Satan from the very beginning. God made an oath beforehand, saying that the "seed of a woman" shall crush Satan's head. The "seed of a woman" is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

The Bible declares our sad condition because we all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23). But God, in His wonderful mercy and grace, proclaimed that there is a way to restore our relationship with Him. Paul encourages us in his letter to the Romans, thus:

"The punishment for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:23)

It is comforting to know that God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked. (Ezekiel 18:23, 33:11). God wants everyone to be saved. (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). Furthermore, eternal fire (hell) is prepared for the devil and his angels. Therefore, if we follow the devil instead of following God, we will follow the devil to hell. (Matthew 25:41)

Finally, our attention leads us to a passage in the Bible which many people are familiar with. The passage found in John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life."

Out of His great mercy, God demonstrated His love by giving us His Son, Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice on the cross, paved the way to our salvation. On our part, we need to obtain a sustaining faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. Likewise, we need to demonstrate our faith by obeying the Gospel of our Salvation.

The objective of this Seeker's Guide is

At this point in our discourse, I hope that you are now thirsty and yearning for the truth to set you free from the bondage of sin. Jesus reiterated his invitation to everyone when he said:

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
